Backyard Hostess CFO is a private Windows desktop application that The Backyard Hostess uses for its own bookkeeping and order management. It isn't offered to the public, can't be signed up for, and doesn't run on this website. This page only describes it.

What it does

The application keeps the business's books and manages its events, cake orders and holiday meal orders. It runs on the owner's computer and keeps its data there.

How it uses Google

The owner connects the business's Google account to the application. It uses that connection to:

• Google Calendar: show the owner's chosen calendars in the application, and keep business dates on a separate calendar the application creates.
• Google Forms and Google Sheets: create and update the business's holiday order form and private order Sheet, and bring new order requests into the application for review.
• Google Apps Script: set up and update the business's holiday ordering page, which runs in the owner's Google account.

The Privacy Policy lists the exact permissions and explains how this data is used, stored and shared.
